The Zhang Guang 张光
Paul PengShare
Zhang Guang, the 13th Heavenly Master of the Zhengyi School (a major school of Taoism). His courtesy name was Dezhao, and he was the eldest son of Zhang Heng.
In his youth, he was determined to pursue Taoist cultivation. Later, he abandoned his family to practice Taoism and lived in a stone chamber for as long as 30 years. It was not until he inherited the Taoist teachings (to succeed to the position of Heavenly Master) that he returned home. He was capable of practicing "bigu" (a core Taoist practice of abstaining from grain) and lived to be over a hundred years old before passing away.

In the 13th year of the Zhizheng era (1353) of Emperor Shun of the Yuan Dynasty, he was posthumously conferred the title of "Taixuan Zhide Guangmiao True Lord".
