Zhang Hongren (?–1667) was the 53rd Heavenly Master of the Zhengyi School (a major branch of Taoism). His courtesy name was Hanji, and he was the cousin-son (son of a paternal uncle or aunt) of the 52nd Heavenly Master.

From a young age, he had a passion for Taoist arts and was proficient in Taoist scriptures and esoteric texts.

In the 8th year of the Shunzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1651), he inherited the position of Heavenly Master; in the 12th year (1655), he went to the capital to have an audience with the emperor.

At that time, it was reported that evil spirits were causing harm in a vassal state. The emperor ordered him to expel the evil spirits, and Zhang Hongren responded promptly and resolved the problem successfully—for this, he received extraordinary rewards and praise.

In the 6th year of the Kangxi reign (1667), he passed away due to illness at the age of 43.
