The Zhang Hui 张回
Paul PengShare
Zhang Hui was the 7th Heavenly Master of the Zhengyi School (a major branch of Taoism). His courtesy name was Zhongchang, and he was the eldest son of Zhang Dexin.
According to The Genealogy of the Heavenly Masters of the Han Dynasty (Han Tianshi Shijia), he inherited the position of Heavenly Master at the age of ten. He possessed Taoist mystical arts, practiced the "bigu" technique (a Taoist ascetic practice of abstaining from grain to purify the body and refine vital energy), and could travel hundreds of li (a traditional Chinese unit of distance, approximately 500 meters per li) in a single day.

Later, he entered Mount Qingcheng to practice Taoism, and his final whereabouts became unknown.
In the 13th year of the Zhizheng era of Emperor Shun of the Yuan Dynasty (1353 CE), he was posthumously conferred the title "True Lord of Jade Purity, Assisting Teaching, and Vast Salvation" (Yuqing Fujiao Hongji Zhenjun).
