Paul PengShare
Zhang Jixian (1092-1127) was a native of Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi Province at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty.
His courtesy name was Jiawen, and his literary name was Xiaoranzi.

He was the second son of Zhang Churen, who was the younger brother of Zhang Jingduan (courtesy name Zishi) — the 29th Heavenly Master of the Taoist Heavenly Master School.
He inherited the religious position at the age of nine. In the fourth year of the Chongning era (1105), he was bestowed with the title "Mr. Xujing" (Master of Void and Tranquility), along with the Jade Seal of Yangpingzhi Dugong (a seal symbolizing authority over Taoist rituals), empowering him to oversee Taoist affairs.
In the second year of the Jingkang era (1127) of Emperor Qinzong, he was summoned to the capital. He passed away at the age of 36 when he reached Sizhou on his way there.
He was the author of works including Xujing Ci (Verses of Void and Tranquility) and Mingzhen Powang Zhangsong (Odes on Clarifying Truth and Dispelling Delusions).
In the 13th year of the Zhizheng era of the Yuan Dynasty, he was posthumously awarded the title "Xujing Hongwu Miaodao True Lord" (True Lord of Void, Tranquility, Vast Enlightenment, and Wondrous Dao).
During the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Yuchu compiled Yulu of the 30th Heavenly Master, True Lord Xujing (Recorded Sayings of the 30th Heavenly Master, True Lord Xujing).
