Zhang Taikong (? – 788) was a Taoist practitioner at Yuanyang Palace on Nanyue Mountain (Mount Heng) during the Mid-Tang Dynasty. He lived in seclusion and practiced Taoism at Shangqing Palace on Hengyue Mountain (Mount Heng), and was proficient in Taoist doctrines and practices.
In the seventh year of the Dali era of Emperor Daizong of the Tang Dynasty (772), he served as the teacher of Li Mi, the Prime Minister of the Tang Dynasty. Later, he retreated to live in seclusion at Yuanyang Palace.

Zhang Taikong passed away in June of the fourth year of the Zhenyuan era of Emperor Dezong of the Tang Dynasty (788). The Emperor personally composed a memorial essay for him and conferred on him the posthumous title "Master Xuanhe".
