The Zhang Xin 张信
Paul PengShare
Zhang Xin was a native of Le'an during the Jin Dynasty. He adopted the literary name "Xiyi Zi" (Master Xiyi).
During the Taihe era (1201–1208), he paid respects to Hao Datong and became his disciple. He strictly abided by Taoist precepts and conducts; when dispelling evil influences and treating illnesses, his practices often yielded remarkable efficacious results.

Later, he studied the Secret Records of the Orthodox Unity Alliance and Authority (a core text of the Zhengyi School of Taoism, associated with Celestial Master Zhang) at Tianchang Guan (Tianchang Taoist Temple). He was subsequently conferred the honorific title "Zhenren" (Perfected One).
He lived to the age of fifty-five.
