Zhang Xinzhen (1164–1218)

Zhang Xinzhen was a figure of the Jin Dynasty.

His literary names were "Chongxuzi" (Master Chongxu) and "Chunyang Zhenren" (Perfected One Chunyang).
He was endowed with an extraordinary nature, and in his practices and conduct, he cherished ancient traditions.

When he was nearly thirty years old, he took charge of the Zhen Da Dao Jiao (True Great Dao Sect) and served as its third patriarch.

During his twenty-five years of leading the sect, he achieved remarkable accomplishments and was conferred the honorific title "Zhenren" (Perfected One).

He composed hundreds of poems and prose works, which were collected into Xuanzhen Ji (Collection of Mysterious Truth). He passed away due to illness in the second year of the Xingding era (1218) at the age of fifty-five.
