Zhang Yuanchang was a Taoist priest during the Song and Yuan dynasties, and his literary name was Tianyu (Celestial Universe).

He studied under Guo Yingqi, who taught him the Taoist doctrines of the Tianpeng School, and Zhang later became the 4th-generation grand master of this school.
