Zhang Yushi was a native of Sichuan during the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties.

He studied under Zhang Chijiao (Barefoot Zhang), from whom he learned the Five Thunder Method. Whenever he prayed for thunder and rain, his prayers were answered immediately. Later, he also studied under Lü Pengtou (Bald-headed Lü), practicing the arts of Golden Elixir and Alchemy of Yellow and White. His final whereabouts are unknown.

Paul Peng is a Zhengyi Taoist priest from Longhu Mountain, Jiangxi — the ancestral home of the Celestial Masters' tradition. Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
