The Zhang Zhide 张志德
Paul PengShare
Zhang Zhide was a native of Zouping, Jinan, during the Yuan Dynasty.
At the age of twenty-five, he lost both his parents, so he went to Shengshou Palace in Jizhou. Admiring the Taoist attainments of True Person Zhang Qi (styled Dongxu Puhui), he paid respects to Master Luo—who was a disciple of True Person Zhang Qi, held the titles of "Great Master of Mingzhen, Renshu and Chonghe" and "Zongzhu Tidian" (a Taoist administrative position)—and took him as his teacher.

From then on, his mastery of Taoist doctrines progressed day by day, and he also became proficient in medical books. Later, he was appointed to manage the affairs of the Taoist palace (Zhigongshi).
True Person Xuanyi, the leader of the Taoist order, bestowed upon him the title of "Great Master of Dongwei Xuanmiao". He was recommended as the Daoyuan (head of Taoist affairs) of Jizhou, and in the third year of the Yanyou era of the Yuan Dynasty (1316), he was promoted to the position of Tidian (administrator) of Shengshou Palace.
