Zhang Zhongyu was a Taoist priest of Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi Province during the early Ming Dynasty.
He was fond of reading, especially skilled in writing poetry and prose, and proficient in playing the guqin (a traditional Chinese seven-stringed zither).
