The Zhang Zixiang 张子祥
Paul PengShare
Zhang Zixiang, the 10th Heavenly Master of the Zhengyi School (a major school of Taoism), styled himself Linbo. He was the eldest son of Zhang Fu.
He once served in the Sui Dynasty as the Wei (a county-level official in charge of public security and judicial affairs) of Luoyang. Not long after, he abandoned his official post to inherit the Taoist teachings and succeed to the position of Heavenly Master.

Zhang Zixiang was well-versed in a wide range of books and cultivated his Taoist arts, with particular expertise in the methods of refining elixirs. He could spit out the elixir pill from his abdomen and place it in his palm, and also swallow it back into his abdomen. He inherited the Taoist doctrines of the Heavenly Master, dispatched his disciples to propagate the teachings across the four directions, and achieved remarkable accomplishments in Taoist practices.
In the 13th year of the Zhizheng era of Emperor Shun of the Yuan Dynasty (1353), he was posthumously conferred the title of "Shangqing Xuanmiao Taixu True Lord".
