The Zhao Fuzhen 赵复珍

Paul Peng
Zhao Fuzhen (?-1882) was a native of Menghua Zhili Ting, Yunnan Province in the late Qing Dynasty.

During the Xianfeng reign (1851-1861), her family members passed away one after another, and her husband died on the battlefield. She then became a Taoist nun at Weibao Mountain, donating all her family property to the Taoist monastery on Weibao Mountain and raising funds to renovate Taoist temples such as the Hall of Three Emperors, the Hall of Lingguan, and the Hall of Mountain Patrol. She was quite renowned at that time.

She passed away of illness in the eighth year of the Guangxu reign (1882).
