The Zhao Ziran 赵自然
Paul PengShare
Zhao Ziran, originally named Wang Jiu, was a native of Taiping Fanchang (now part of Anhui Province) during the Dazhong Xiangfu period of the Northern Song Dynasty.
At the age of thirteen, he suffered from a severe illness. His father promised that if he recovered, he would become a Taoist priest.

Later, he dreamed of... a divine figure, who taught him the technique of bigu (a Taoist practice of abstaining from grain). From then on, he only ate fresh fruits and drank clear spring water.
He once composed The Song of Yuan Dao (The Song of the Primordial Dao), which expounds on the essentials of Taoist cultivation.
