Zheng De'an was a figure of the Song Dynasty, known by the Taoist title "Chongxu Miaojing Yuzhenzi" (True Person of Profound Emptiness, Wondrous Tranquility, and Cosmos).
He wrote Oral Instructions on the Great Golden Elixir, which expounds the Dan method (Alchemy practice) of the Southern Sect that emphasizes "cultivating the physical vitality first, then the spiritual nature".
