The Zheng Qingkai 郑清恺
Paul PengShare
Zheng Qingkai was a native of Xingyang (now part of Henan Province) during the Southern Song Dynasty.
His original given name was Ru, and he was known by the literary name Cuifang. He studied under Zhu Ju at Luofu Mountain, where he obtained the esoteric teachings of the Taixi Qi Fa (Embryonic Breathing Qi Method—a core Taoist cultivation practice focused on regulating vital energy). Later, he became a Taoist priest.

Subsequently, he went to Tianqing Guan (Heavenly Celebration Taoist Temple) in Sanshan (Three Mountains) to pay respects to Bai Yuchan, whom he then took as his teacher and from whom he acquired all the esoteric transmissions (of Taoist doctrines and practices).
