The Zheng Yin 郑隐

Zheng Yin (?–302), styled Siyuan, lived during the Western Jin Dynasty.
Baopuzi·Xialan Pian (The Master Who Embraces Simplicity·Chapter on Broad Reading) and Xianyuan Bianzhu (Pearls of the Immortal Garden Compiled) state that in his youth, he had a thorough understanding of the Five Classics and other books. When he grew older, he taught Book of Documents and Book of Rites. In his later years, he developed a fondness for Taoism.
He was proficient in music theory and well-versed in astronomy, the studies of the Yellow River Chart and Luo River Writing, divination, astronomical calculation, the Nine Palaces (a form of divination), and the Three Wonders (a concept in divination).

He studied under Ge Xuan and received teachings from The Alchemical Scripture of the Nine Tripods, The Alchemical Scripture of the Golden Liquid, and The Alchemical Scripture of the Great Clarity. In the first year of the Tai'an era (302), feeling the vicissitudes of the world, he secluded himself in Mount Huo, and his final fate remains unknown.
His famous disciple was Ge Hong.
