Zhou Deqia was a figure of the early Yuan Dynasty and styled himself "Xingchuzi" (Master of Innate Nature).
He was bestowed the honorific title "Great Master of Clear Distinction, Bright Leisure, and Vast Benevolence", appointed as Tiju (administrator) of Jiufeng Chunyang Shanggong (Jiufeng Pure Yang Upper Palace), and held the position of "Sandong Lecturing Dharma Master" (a Taoist master specializing in lecturing on scriptures of the Three Grottoes). He was also granted a purple-gold-lined robe (a symbol of high honor in the Yuan Dynasty).
