Zhu Xiangxian was a figure of the Yuan Dynasty, known by the Taoist title "Yixuzi" (Master of Unified Emptiness). He was a Taoist monk of Maoshan Mountain (a sacred site for Taoism).

In the 16th year of the Zhiyuan era (1279), he traveled to pay homage to the ancestral court of the Quanzhen School (Complete Perfection School) on Zhongnan Mountain, and resided at Louguan Terrace (a historic Taoist complex). While there, he studied the old annals of Louguan Terrace and the biographies of various ancient masters associated with Louguan; based on these materials, he compiled and edited Inscriptions of True Immortals of All Dynasties at the Scripture-Lecturing Terrace of Zhongnan Mountain.

During the same period, he also collected stone inscriptions and biographies from the Tang Dynasty and stone inscriptions from the Yuan Dynasty, compiling them into Collected Records of Purple Clouds and Flourishing Blessings at Ancient Louguan Terrace in three volumes. His self-authored works, such as Postscript to Master Guanyinzi, Account of the Ox-Tying Cypress at Ancient Louguan Terrace, and Record of the Reconstruction of Huizhen Temple, were all included in this collection.
