What is the Music of Nature in Taoism?
Heavenly Sounds refer to the sounds and rhythms of nature.
Zhuangzi · The Adjustment of Controversies states:
“Heavenly Sounds are the blowing of the ten thousand different things,
each causing itself to cease,
all arising from themselves.
Who is there to rouse them?”
What is the Music of Nature in Taoism?Heavenly Sounds are the diverse sounds emitted by all the natural hollows and openings when stirred by the wind.
These sounds arise from the natural state of the hollows, not from any external force stirring them.
According to Internal Alchemy,
through the harmonization of essence, Qi, and spirit within the human body,
one may align the inner rhythms of the body with the fundamental rhythms of nature,
and hear Heavenly Sounds in profound stillness.
