Who is Jiezi 接子？

A contemporary of Shen Dao, Jiezi was a native of Qi and served as a Jixia Scholar. Later, due to King Min of Qi's relentless boasting of his achievements, he departed.
Zhuangzi·Zeyang mentions "Jiezi's theory of 'something causing it'", positing that the movement of all things may be driven by a certain force—this force being the Dao. Guo Xiang's commentary states: "Jiezi said: 'The Dao may cause it.' 'May cause it' means it has the power to compel things.
