Compiled by Li Lin of the Jin Dynasty. Originally consisting of six volumes, the version in the Daozang (Daoist Canon) is divided into twelve volumes and included in the Yujue (Jade Commentary) category of the Dongshen Section.

This work quotes commentaries from dozens of scholars including Yan Zun, Heshi Gong, Zhong Hui, Wang Bi, Guo Xiang, Sun Deng, Gu Huan, Yang You, Tao Hongjing, Zang Xuanjing, Cai Zihuang, Liu Jinxi, Che Huibi, Cheng Xuanying and Liu Renhui. Most of these commentaries are lost works, making the book of considerable documentary value.
