Divine Radiance of the Elixir Sun
Composed by Ma Yu during the Jin Dynasty.
Consisting of one scroll, it is included in the Taiping Section of the The Daozang.
As a collection of ci-poems by Ma Yu, it contains 100 pieces of Man Ting Fang (Full Courtyard Fragrance), written during the Dading reign period of Emperor Shizong of Jin. Most of the poems are works of dedication and response, exhorting people to learn the Dao and practice cultivation in accordance with the doctrines of Quanzhen Dao.

It advocates the dual cultivation of nature (xing) and life (ming), as well as the perfection of both merit and practice, with particular emphasis on illuminating the mind and perceiving nature, practicing the Dao to benefit the world. It states: "When the mind is calm and pure, essence is concealed, Qi is condensed, and spirit is concentrated—naturally, nature stabilizes and life endures." When spirit and Qi merge, the Great Elixir is formed.
It also emphasizes the need to always show compassion to all living beings: "Treat all men and women as you would your own parents." The poem Li Shi Zhuang Wai Jie (Oath of External Precepts) is Ma Yu’s vow upon entering the Dao, which mentions the early precepts of Quanzhen Dao: "Prioritize obeying national laws"; "Permanently abandon anger, greed, wine, and lust; renounce glory and wealth, and abstain from meat and strong-smelling foods"; "Do not covet wealth or tell lies, nor pretend to be a noble sage."
Additionally, there are poems eulogizing the phenomena of Quanzhen Dao’s founder Wang Chongyang and others appearing in dreams after their passing.
