As they drew closer, Sun Simiao noticed fresh red blood dripping from the cracks of the coffin. His heart stirred, and he quickly stopped an elderly woman who was staggering behind the coffin, crying inconsolably.
The old woman explained that the person in the coffin was her daughter, who had died half a day earlier due to complications from childbirth. Upon hearing this, Sun Simiao carefully examined the blood seeping from the coffin. He thought to himself, "How could a woman who died half a day ago still have such bright red blood?" Thus, he concluded that the woman was not truly dead but had merely fallen into a state of suffocation due to difficult labor. Sun Simiao immediately asked them to stop, explained his reasoning, and requested to open the coffin to save her.
✨The Miraculous Revival
The old woman, though skeptical, saw a glimmer of hope for her daughter and agreed to have the coffin opened. Sun Simiao approached and observed the woman inside: her face was waxy yellow, her lips pale, devoid of any color. He checked for a pulse and found none at first, but upon closer inspection, he detected a faint pulse. Selecting the appropriate acupuncture point, he inserted a golden needle. He then asked for a bowl of boiled water from a nearby household and administered medicine from his bag to the woman. Soon after, the woman began to stir, slowly regaining consciousness, and shortly thereafter, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
