Paul PengShare
Liuding and Liujia are originally two protective deities in Taoist legends.
According to the 'Sancai Tuhui', the 'Six Ding Gods' refer to Dingmao God Sima Qing, Dingchou God Zhao Ziyu, Dinhai God Zhang Wenzhong, Dingyou God Zang Wengong, Dingwei God Shi Shoutong, and Dingsi God Cui Shijuqing; while the 'Six Jia Gods' include Jiazi God Wang Wencqing, Jiawu God Zhan Zijiang, Jiasen God Hu Wenchang, Jiama God Wei Yuqing, Jicen God Meng Feiqing, and Jiayin God Ming Wenzhang. There are various interpretations of these names, with some variations.

Daoist priests from the talisman sect use these divine beings to protect their bodies, and among them, besides the Twenty-Eight Mansions and the Four Duty Officials, the most common are the Six Ding and Six Jia gods.
