What is The Dao in Taoism?
Paul PengShare
Dao is an indescribable state of emptiness. It existed before heaven, earth, and all things, and is the mother of all things in the world.

Dao is an ineffable mysterious energy that nourishes heaven, earth, and all things; it is the law that all things in heaven and earth must follow, governing and dominating them. It can thus be seen that Dao is the law of nature and the universe.

Dao is also humanity's view of nature and worldview. Humans must conform to the objective conditions of the universe and live in accordance with natural laws. Only by cherishing the universe and integrating with nature can humans survive healthily. Once we destroy nature and violate the laws of nature, we will be punished.
