Originally titled "Annotated by Ten Masters: Chisongzi, Zhang Liang, Ge Xuan, Xu Xun, Zhongli Quan, Lü Dongbin, Shi Jianwu, Cui Minggong, Liu Haichan, and Cao Daochong", thus it is also known as Shizhen Jijie (Collected Annotations by Ten Immortals).
In fact, this work should be an apocryphal text compiled by Taoist priests between the Southern Song, Jin, and Yuan dynasties. Originally consisting of three volumes, it was consolidated into one volume and included in the Yujue (Jade Secrets) category of The Dongzhen Section in The Daozang.

Its annotations focus on Internal Alchemy, expounding the purport of simultaneous cultivation of nature and life, as well as the refinement of essence into qi.
