Five Thunder Rites of Loyalty 贯斗忠孝五雷武侯秘法

Five Thunder Rites of Loyalty

At the beginning of the volume is a preface by Wu Sheng, the True Person of Xuyang Baoguang, stating that during the Zhiyuan reign of the Yuan Dynasty (1335~1340), Zhang Huizhai, a scholar from Jingmen who passed the imperial examination, chanced upon the Yin-Yang Divine Seal. He then dreamed that Zhuge Kongming taught him the method of summoning the Loyal and Filial Thunder Troops with the Divine Seal to eliminate evil spirits and demons. Showing profound reverence, Zhang accepted the teachings and abandoned secular life to become a Taoist monk at Wudang Mountain. Later, this method was passed down by the True Person Zhao of Quanyang to the True Person Huang of Guyang. The True Person Huang retired to the Western Hills of Nanchang at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, attained immortality in the year of Jiyou (1368), and his disciple Wu Sheng obtained this profound scripture and transmitted it to the world. Based on this, this book should be a Taoist text of the Qingwei Sect or the Jingming Sect of the Yuan Dynasty. It records the methods of summoning Thunder Gods and Thunder Troops with divine seals, Taoist Talismans and official proclamations, stating that acting in accordance with these methods allows one to summon Zhuge Liang, as well as Thunder Gods and Generals such as Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, Ma Chao and Huang Zhong, who will lead the Loyal and Filial Thunder Troops to the mortal world to wipe out demons and goblins, cure illnesses and bring peace to families.
