Liu Chuxuan, also titled the Eternal Life Master, was a renowned Taoist priest of the Quanzhen Dao.
It is one volume, included in the Yujue (Jade Secrets) category of The Dongzhen Section in The Daozang.
Liu Chuxuan's Yin Fu Jing Commentary
The volume opens with a preface written by Fan Yi, the Educational Administrator of Ninghai Prefecture, in the Xinhai year of the Mingchang reign period of Emperor Zhangzong of Jin (1191). The preface states that the annotations on the Yinfu Jing by the Eternal Life Master Liu are "clear and straightforward, easy to understand and practice". Based on the 300-character version, the scripture is divided into three chapters. His annotations interpret the scripture through the theories of self-awareness, enlightenment of one’s nature, and returning to simplicity and authenticity, while also involving the purport of health preservation and Internal Alchemy. These are the teachings of the Quanzhen School.
