Sacred Spells of the Northern Emperor
The text begins with the title “Chapter on the Imperial Edict Spells for Divine Soldiers to Protect the Country, Secure the Home, Expel Ghosts and Eliminate Calamities”. Its content is similar to the tenth chapter “Divine Soldiers Protecting the Country” of Wonderful Scripture of the Northern Emperor Subduing Demons, Preached by the Supreme Heavenly Lord of the Primordial Beginning.
The book claims to be preached by the Primordial Heavenly Lord. It states that living beings in the lower world often commit evil and rebellious deeds, or encounter catastrophic karmic turns; thus thousands of ghosts and myriads of evil beings spread throughout the world, bringing various diseases and harming people.
If people can believe in and uphold the Great Dao, recite the Truly Authentic Scripture of the Northern Emperor’s Samadhi and the Divine Spells of the Northern Emperor’s Samadhi, and serve and venerate the Master of the Northern Emperor’s Samadhi, they shall eliminate calamities and attain blessings.
