The author is unknown, and the text was presumably compiled during the Northern and Southern Dynasties or the Sui and Tang dynasties.
Consisting of one scroll, it is included in the Talisman category of the The Dongzhen Section within The Daozang.

Talismans for Longevity and Protection
This text records the Cave Chapter Talismans, the Five Talismans of Life and Favor, the Five Majestic and Five Martial Talismans, and the Supreme One’s Divine Talismans for Sustaining Life and Prolonging Years. It is stated that these divine talismans are incarnated from the Three Qis of the Supreme Lord, titled the "Three Primes Boundless Cave Chapter". Following the method to wear or swallow the talisman inscriptions, pray and recite incantations, one can subdue evil spirits to protect the body, awe corpse ghosts, and prolong life and add to one's lifespan.
