Yuan Shi Dong Zhen Ci Shan Xiao Zi Bao En Cheng Dao Jing (The Scripture of the Primordial Cavernous Truth: The Benevolent and Filial Son Repaying Kindness and Attaining the Dao), the author of which is unknown. Judging from its content and wording, it is identical to Tai Shang Dong Xuan Ling Bao Ba Xian Wang Jiao Jie Jing (The Scripture of the Teachings and Admonitions of the Eight Immortals Kings of the Numinous Treasure of the Cavernous Mystery of the Supreme Oneness), and was presumably composed during the Tang Dynasty.

It consists of one scroll and is included in the Text category of the Cavernous Truth section of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

The scripture is pseudonymously attributed to the Primordial Heavenly Worthy and expounds the doctrine of filial piety, with the purpose of "guiding the wise kings of future generations to govern the world with filial piety, enabling all filial sons to repay the kindness of their parents, establishing norms for families and the state, bringing peace to the world, unifying all regions, and making everyone uphold supreme filial piety". First, the scripture proclaims that the responsive transformation qi of the Primordial Supreme Dao gave birth to the Three True Ones, titled the Utmost Filial True King, who governed and transformed the Central Plains and the four barbarians, instructing people to practice benevolence and filial piety, reverence heaven and obey earth, cherish life and abhor killing, and show compassion for all things. Second, it repeatedly emphasizes that those who do not uphold filial piety will suffer various evil karmic retributions, even to the extent of falling into hell after death and being reborn as livestock; those who practice filial piety will obtain various good karmic rewards, to the point that heaven cannot kill them, earth cannot bury them, and they can further attain the Dao.

Anyone who obtains this scripture should recite and uphold it morning and evening to repay the great kindness of their parents.
