The Dadong Jinhua Yu Jing (Jade Scripture of the Golden Splendor of the Great Cavern)
The author of this text is unknown.
Judging from its content and wording, it was likely composed by Taoist priests of the Shangqing (Supreme Pure) School during the Northern and Southern Dynasties or the Sui-Tang period.

Consisting of one scroll, it is included in the "Fangfa Lei" (Methods Category) of the Dongzhen Bu (Great Cavern Section) within the Daozang (Taoist Canon). The scripture discusses the essential methods for practicing the Shangqing Dadong Zhenjing (Supreme Pure Great Cavern True Scripture).
The text first describes the rituals for transmitting the essential teachings of the Dadong Jing (Great Cavern Scripture). Next, it records three passages of prayers: namely, the "Shangyuan Xuanmu Bajian Jinhua Yinshu" (Hidden Text of Golden Splendor with Eight Inquiries to the Mysterious Mother of Supreme Vows), the "Jiutian Dijun Shier Shangyuan" (Twelve Supreme Vows of the Heavenly Emperors of the Nine Heavens), and the "Jiuling Shenmu Bajian Shenwen" (Divine Text with Eight Inquiries to the Divine Mother of the Nine Numinous Beings). It states that when receiving the Dadong Zhenjing, one should first recite these prayers—doing so can resolve sins, undo karmic knots, bring blessings to seven generations of ancestors, and achieve eternal life.
Following this is the "Huifeng Da Hunhe Diyi Zhi Dao" (The Great Way of the Wandering Wind Merging with the Supreme Oneness), which refers to the esoteric method of reciting the scripture and contemplating spiritual beings. This section includes several diagrams for spirit contemplation, incantation essentials, and rituals for contemplating spirits; it notes that those who fall ill while reciting the scripture should constantly chant the name of the "Dadong Diyi Zunjun" (Venerable Lord of the Supreme Oneness of the Great Cavern).
Next is the "Dadong Neifa Cunxiu Cixiong Zhen Yishisan Tu" (Thirteen Diagrams for Internal Practice of Contemplating the True Male and Female Principles in the Great Cavern), which is also a spirit-contemplation practice. The spirits to be contemplated here are the "True Male Principle" (Xiongyi Zhenren) and "True Female Principle" (Ciyi Zhenren) within the human body, totaling ten spiritual beings. It is claimed that practicing this way for nine years allows one to ascend to heaven in broad daylight.
The Taoist methods in this text originate from the Dadong Ciyi Yujian Wulao Baojing (Precious Scripture of the Five Elders with Jade Inscriptions on the True Female Principle of the Great Cavern). See the entry for that text.
