Dong Jichun, a figure of the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, styled himself "Daoist Huanchu" (Return-to-Beginning Daoist).

He excerpted texts such as Xuangang Lun (Treatise on the Mysterious Outline), Hua Shu (Book of Transformation), Huanzhen Ji (Collection of Returning to Truth), Zhenren Ma Danyang Zhiyan (Plain Words of the Realized Person Ma Danyang), and Chongyang Lijiao Shiwu Lun (Fifteen Discourses on the Establishment of the Teaching by Chongyang), compiling them into Qunxian Yaoyu Zuji (Compilation of Essential Sayings of the Assembly of Immortals) in two volumes.
