The True Grotto: The Divine Tiger Jade Scripture of the Supreme
Also known as The True Grotto: The True Talisman of the Divine Tiger.
As one of the early classic texts of the Shangqing School (Supreme Clarity School), it was probably compiled during the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317–420 CE).

This scripture has already been quoted in The True Declarations (Zhengao) and The Essential Secrets of the Supreme (Wushang Miyao).
The present version is included in the Zhengyi Bu (Orthodox Unity Section) of the Daozang (Taoist Canon). Excerpts of its content are also found in Volume 9 of The Seven Slips of the Clouds’ Satchel (Yunji Qiqian)
This text mainly elaborates on the transmission rituals of the "True Talisman of the Divine Tiger," the methods for wearing the talisman, and the functions of the talismanic text. The True Talisman of the Divine Tiger is also known as the "Divine Tiger Jade Talisman" or the "Supreme Talisman of the Divine Tiger." It is claimed that this talisman originated from the Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother of the Nine Heavens, and was later passed down to Lord Wang of Xicheng (i.e., Wang Bao, the True Person of Purity and Emptiness).
The talisman possesses inexplicable divine wonders and its power resounds across distant realms. As described, it "either bears the hidden names of heavenly demons or marks the inner names of a hundred deities; reciting its chapters shakes the spirits of a thousand evils, and chanting its sections binds the forms of ten thousand demons." This talisman is among the important talismans handed down by the early Shangqing School.
