The Precious Repentance Scripture of Supreme Taiqing for Redeeming Sins and Ascending to Immortality The author is unknown. Judging from its content and wording, it should have been compiled by Taoist priests during the Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty periods. Consisting of one scroll, it is included in The Daozang (the authoritative collection of Taoist scriptures), specifically categorized under ritual texts in The Dongzhen Section (the True Reality Division).

The repentance scripture states that the Yuanshi Tianzun (Primeval Lord of Heaven) preached the Taoist doctrine in the Supreme Blue Heaven, emitting boundless radiance that illuminated all ten directions and redeemed the sinners in hell, enabling them all to reincarnate into the human realm. It also claims to be the teachings of the Supreme Lord admonishing all beings: all those who commit sins and create karmic offenses will fall into hell and suffer torment after death. If they can pray sincerely with undivided devotion, submit themselves to the Supreme Truth, and repent for their sins, they will be redeemed and liberated. The text lists the titles of forty-six Heavenly Honored Ones and True Immortals of the Taiqing Realm, as well as the format of repentance texts.
