He Taihe was a native of Menghua Zhili Ting (Menghua Subprefecture, directly under provincial jurisdiction) in Yunnan during the early Qing Dynasty.

As recorded in Xu Xiu Menghua Zhili Ting Zhi · Xianshi (Revised Gazetteer of Menghua Subprefecture · Immortals and Eminent Monastics), he took refuge to avoid the chaos caused by the "Wu Rebellion" (the uprising led by Wu Sangui), lived in seclusion on Weishan Mountain, practiced Taoist arts, and attained a profound understanding of Taoist metaphysical principles, thus enjoying great fame for a time.

Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
