The Huang Yanda 黄彦达

Huang Yanda was a native of Jinhua (now Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province) in the Southern Song Dynasty. His courtesy name was Xingke, and his honorific title was "Mr. Zixu Dongling" (literally "Master of the Purple Void and Spiritual Grotto").

He was erudite and knowledgeable, and skilled in composing poetry in the style of the Tang and Song dynasties.
Due to his admiration for Taoist doctrines, he became a Taoist priest and resided at Chisong Mountain in Jinhua.

He met a senior Taoist master who taught him esoteric manuscripts. By studying and integrating the teachings of various Taoist schools, his mastery of Taoism advanced significantly, and his reputation in the Taoist community grew increasingly prominent. People at that time honored him as "Real Person Huang" (a respectful title for accomplished Taoist practitioners).

During the Shaoxing era (1131-1162) of Emperor Gaozong of the Southern Song Dynasty, he managed the affairs of Chisong Palace for as long as thirty years and had hundreds of disciples.
