The Jian Zhongyang 简中阳

Paul Peng
Jian Zhongyang, a native of Wuchang in the early Ming Dynasty, had the courtesy name Qinhe. He received the transmission of the "Zhonghuang Upper Dao" (Middle Yellow Higher Way) and the "Qingwei Secret Arts" from an extraordinary person.

As recorded in Records of Wudang Mountain: In the 24th year of the Hongwu era (1391), he traveled around the entire Wudang Mountain and resided at Zixiao Peak.

In the 4th year of the Yongle era (1406), he was summoned to the imperial court. His responses satisfied the emperor, so he was granted a talisman certificate from the Ministry of Rites. Later, he lived in seclusion at Fudi Peak (Blessed Land Peak).
