Jiang Qi was a native of Jinfang during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and his courtesy name was Huchen.

He started his career as a Confucian scholar, serving successively as a Shidou (Reader) in the Guoshi Yuan (Imperial History Academy) and as the Tidu (Superintendent) of the Zhili Academy. Later, he abandoned his official post and traveled to famous mountains and great rivers six times. In the sixth year of the Kangxi reign (1667), he entered Wudang Mountain and became a Taoist Priest.

His works include Wuzuo Sizhong Zuiye Shuo (On Not Committing the Four Kinds of Karmic Sins) and Sui'an Ji (Collected Works of Sui'an).

Paul Peng is a Zhengyi Taoist priest from Longhu Mountain, Jiangxi — the ancestral home of the Celestial Masters' tradition. Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
