Li Xuanyu was a native of Anlu in Huguang (present-day Anlu County, Hubei Province) during the early Ming Dynasty, and he served as Daogong (Chief Taoist Priest) and Lian Shi (Alchemist) of the Taoist Office in Anlu Prefecture.

During the Yongle era, he was officially appointed by imperial order as the "Tidian" (Senior Administrator) of Taixuan Zixiao Palace at Wudang Mountain.

Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
