Luo Jiaopei (1904-1967), a native of Deng County, Henan Province.

He studied Confucian classics in his childhood. When he grew up, he also mastered medical skills and admired Taoism deeply. Thus, he entered Zixiao Palace on Wudang Mountain, became a Taoist monk under the tutelage of Master Leng Hebin of the Longmen School.
During the Chinese Revolution, he assisted the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in supporting the front line and treating the wounded, and made military achievements.

After 1949, he successively served as a member of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a director of the Chinese Taoist Association.
