The Primordial Infernal Absolution Scripture
Yuan Shi Tian Zun Speaks the Scripture of Eliminating Sins in Fengdu
The author is unknown, and the text is believed to have been compiled during the Song or Yuan Dynasty.
Consisting of one scroll, it is included in the Text Category of the Dongzhen Section of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

This scripture is purportedly preached by Yuanshi Tianzun (the Primeval Lord of Heaven). It states that all sentient beings who commit the "Ten Heinous Crimes and Five Rebellious Acts" will suffer in hell after death. However, if one constructs grand Taoist altars, holds vegetarian rituals and performs Taoist practices, they can deliver the souls of the deceased and prevent them from falling into hell. The text also records the titles of the Ten Yama Kings and the names of the Twenty-Four Hells.
