Qingjing Sect (Pure and Quiet Sect)
Category of Internal Alchemy Methods: The Qingjing alchemy method opposes the yin-yang grafting technique of dual cultivation between men and women, claiming that yin and yang all exist within one's own body, and that cultivating one's own essence, qi, and spirit is sufficient to form the elixir.

The Qingjing Sect originated from the ancient art of regulating qi. Later, it combined with practices such as absorbing qi and visualization. In the Tang Dynasty, it was influenced by Zen Buddhism and integrated with Laozi and Zhuangzi's practices like "sitting in forgetfulness" and "heart fasting."

In the Yuan Dynasty, Qiu Chuji founded the Longmen Sect, advocating the pure and solitary cultivation of alchemy, and denouncing the yin-yang alchemy method as "abandoning oneself to seek others." Later, there was the Wuliu Sect, which matured the Qingjing Sect's alchemy method. The Taoist sects practicing the Qingjing alchemy method are also called the Qingjing Sect.
