The author is unknown. It was probably compiled in the late Northern and Southern Dynasties.

It is a one-volume text included in the Zhengyi Section of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

This text elaborates on the ritual procedures for transmitting the scriptures and talismans of the Cave God Section. First, it expounds the origin and dissemination of the scriptures and talismans of the Cave God Section, and lists their titles. According to the text, the scriptures and talismans of the Cave God Section include The Great Treasure of Diagrams and Talismans: The Scripts of the Three Emperors, The Wonderful Essential Scripture of the Eight Emperors, The Scripture of Mysterious Transformations, The Scripture of Divine Manifestations, as well as The Fasting Ritual of the Three Emperors, The Court Ritual of the Three Emperors, The Transmission Ritual of the Three Emperors and other works, totaling fourteen volumes.
