Shangqing Scripture on the Supreme Method of Recalling the Spirit, Flying to the Clouds, Ascending to the Sky, and Summoning the Five Planets (Shangqing Huishen Feixiao Dengkong Zhao Wuxing Shangfa Jing), an early classic of the Shangqing School, was probably compiled during the Southern and Northern Dynasties.

It consists of one scroll and is included in the Zhengyi Bu (Orthodox Oneness Section) of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).
The scripture contains two Taoist practices.

The first is The Supreme Method of Recalling the Spirit, Flying to the Clouds, Ascending to the Sky, and Summoning the Five Planets (Huishen Feixiao Dengkong Zhao Wuxing Shangfa). The practice requires selecting an auspicious day, observing a fast, and entering a ritual room. Then, one should sequentially contemplate the Five Emperors descending into one’s body, while the deities of the five viscera and the deity of the Lower Dantian in the body each guard their respective positions. Additionally, one needs to contemplate drinking and swallowing the "bright essence" of the Five Planets, the sun, and the moon, allowing it to shine on the five viscera and the Lower Dantian. It is stated that practicing this method for nine years enables one to fly to the clouds, ascend to the sky, command and employ divine beings, keep the five viscera immortal, and secure the soul and ethereal soul.

The second is The Supreme Method of Stabilizing the Spirit, Nourishing Life, and Contemplating Inward to Become a Flying Immortal (Zhenshen Yangsheng Neisi Feixian Shangfa). The practice involves entering the ritual room at dawn, concentrating the spirit, and contemplating inwardly the various deities in the body—such as the seven deities of the face, the deities of the five viscera and six bowels, and the deities of essence, blood, bones, and joints—so that each guards their respective position.

It is claimed that practicing this method for three years allows one to keep the body immortal, command and employ divine beings, and achieve "the spirit flying and the form ascending, ascending at dawn in broad daylight."

Both of the above practices are quoted in Shangqing Zhongjing Zhu Zhengsheng Mi (Collected Secret Texts of the True Sages from the Various Shangqing Scriptures) and also recorded in Volume 97 of Wushang Miyao (The Supreme Secret Essentials).
