The Grand Talisman of the Heavenly Emperors of the Four Dippers and Twenty-Eight Mansions (Si Dou Er Shi Ba Xiu Tian Di Da Lu) has an unknown author.
Judging from its content and wording, it was presumably compiled by Orthodox Unity Taoist priests during the Northern and Southern Dynasties.

It is a one-volume text included in the Zheng Yi Bu (Orthodox Unity Section) of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).
This book compiles four types of talismans, namely The Grand Talisman of the Heavenly Emperors of the Four Dippers and Twenty-Eight Mansions, The Talismanic Texts of the Five Celestial Emperors, Five Planets and Five Great Mountains Immortals, The Supreme Three-in-One Five-in-Unity Yellow God Yuezhang Talisman, and The Supreme Three-in-One Five-in-Unity Coordinating Heaven and Walking the Celestial Lattice Talisman. These four talismans respectively record the names and numbers of the Heavenly Emperors of the Twenty-Eight Mansions, the Five Directional Celestial Emperors, the gods of the Five Planets and Five Great Mountains, as well as the various generals, administrative spirits, spiritual officials, divine soldiers, immortal boys and jade maidens in heaven, along with the oaths for receiving the talismans.
Taoist practitioners who take the oath and receive these talismans can invoke true deities, subdue demons, and stride across the celestial lattice. The "Yellow God Yuezhang" recorded in the book is an important talismanic scripture of early Celestial Master Taoism.
