Consisting of one scroll, it is included in the Text Category of the Dongzhen Section of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).
With a text of merely over 200 characters, this scripture purportedly records a twenty-two-line five-character ode delivered by the Primeval Lord of Heaven.
It states that the Perfected One of Great Mercy, Compassion and Kindness and the Perfected One of Great Mercy, Compassion and Salvation are capable of alleviating the sufferings of the Three Realms. If sentient beings are afflicted by disasters, misfortunes or illnesses, they can recite this scripture and chant the titles of these two Perfected Ones to free themselves from adversity and prolong their lifespan with enhanced vitality.
