The Secret Instructions of the Holy Lord of the Scripture of Great Peace

Originally titled "Transmitted by the Supreme Minister Green Boy Lord", Green Boy Lord is the name of a deity.

According to textual research by modern scholar Wang Ming, this book was compiled by Lü Qiufangyuan, a Taoist priest at the end of the Tang Dynasty, by excerpting content from The Scripture of Great Peace.

Volume 4 of Biography of the Dragon-like Sage by Jia Shanxiang of the Northern Song Dynasty states: "The Secret Instructions of Great Peace, one volume, received by the Supreme Minister Green Boy Lord, expounds the method of preserving the One", which refers to this very book. The existing version is included in the Great Peace Section of Daozang (the Taoist Canon).

This book focuses exclusively on the method of preserving the One and contemplating deities, revering it as the "secret instructions" passed down by the Holy Lord of Great Peace.

Its text is excerpted respectively from The Method of Attaining Longevity and Governing with Peace in Volume Gui of Excerpts from the Scripture of Great Peace, The Bright Method of Preserving the One in Volume Yi, as well as The Precepts of Preserving the One and Entering the Chamber to Know the Gods (Volume 96) and The Secrets of Gains and Losses in the Nine True Ways (Volume 71) of The Scripture of Great Peace.

In addition, it also contains lost texts from The Scripture of Great Peace.
