The Supreme Orthodox Unity Alliance of Mystical Powers Scripture of Talismans (Tai Shang Zheng Yi Meng Wei Fa Lu) has an unknown author and was probably compiled between the late Eastern Han Dynasty and the Wei-Jin Period.
According to Taoist legend, it was imparted by Lord Laozi (the Supreme Venerable Sovereign) to Celestial Master Zhang Daoling at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty.

It is a one-volume text included in the Zheng Yi (Orthodox Unity) Section of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).
The book collects fourteen types of talismans from the early Celestial Master Taoism. Some of these talismans also appear in The Supreme Three-in-One Five-in-Unity Orthodox Unity Alliance of Mystical Powers Scripture of Talismans (Tai Shang San Wu Zheng Yi Meng Wei Lu), but with variations in the verbosity of the text, which indicates that they are different versions of the same tradition.
All talismans share a roughly similar content and format, listing the names of divine generals and celestial soldiers, talismanic diagrams, images of deities, as well as the oaths and ritual protocols for receiving the talismans. They are used to invoke gods, expel ghosts, and protect one’s family and person.
